Jay King

Jay King is one of the freshest and most promising voices to emerge on the UK comedy circuit — and he's only just getting started.

In just twelve months on the scene, Jay has accumulated credits that many comedians spend years chasing. His set at the iconic Backyard Comedy Club in front of a 300-strong audience announced his arrival in no uncertain terms, and he hasn't looked back since. Gigs across London and Essex followed, along with a showcase at the Edinburgh Festival — one of the most competitive stages in British comedy.

Along the way he has shared the comedy stage with established names including Dane Baptiste, Richard Blackwood, Patrick Monahan, Tom Short, Preet Singh, Terry Gargin of Dirty Dog Comedy Club, and Ben Summers of Ginger Giggle Club — the kind of company that tells you everything you need to know about the impression Jay is making on the circuit.

Alongside performing, Jay hosts comedy nights for London Comedy Ltd across East London and Essex, demonstrating an ability to work a room from every angle — not just as a performer, but as the person responsible for holding an entire evening together.

A debut year that would be the envy of comedians twice his experience. Jay King is a name to watch.
